monkey leg tights?

now, i can't take credit fully for finding this out first, but nobody says i can't review it... so anyway, this season j-crew apparently thinks that hairy legs are the must have for the upcoming season. their new "lace tights" make the wearers legs look like she's never seen a razor in her life... all i can say is why, j-crew, why?????

my first movie review!

okay, so last week i went and saw the new movie burlesque with cher and christina aguleria. i remeber, when i first saw the previews and posters for it, i couldnt stop lauging i thought,"omigod, cher and christina in the same movie? is the world going to explode?" but i went and saw it, personally, i thought it was great. was it flawed? yes, was there a gratouitous product placement for famous amos cookies? yes, but it was at least funny. if you want to, go ahead, i totally suggest going to see it . all around, i give it a B+.

cupcake and cuddle bunny?

As you all may or may not know, over the last couple years i have developed a huge luuuuvvvv for vintage and retro-y clothes. Well, last week i found this really great place for retro-inspired vintage clothes.
here's the link right here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/cuddlebunny
the place is called cupcake and cuddle bunny and this girl is a seamstress and makes these vintage pieces in sizes 14-30, and you can order right off her site, check it out for more info. and her pieces are great! look at this cute little skirt:
this is my favorite thing out of the whole site: its exactly my style and i love the littlwe bows on the waist. so if this kind of stuff is your style, go check her out!

Katie's top 10

Here's my top 10 picks of some of my favorite trends for this fall going into winter

10. Ruffle Skirts
these aren't necissarily for Fall/Winter season, but they always look best paired with some leggings and slouchy boots.

9. Open cardigans
I feel bad about not knowing the real name of them but you know, those open, slouchy jackets that are usually made out of t-shirt material. anyway, i really love these things i own like three of them. they're probably one of the most versatile pieces i own.

8. Horizontal stipes
I know, this sounds like a huge contradiction for a girl thats not exactly skinny, but i actually resally like them I've been seeing them popping back up everywhere lately. To be ferank, before this year, i thought i left those things back in the 2nd grade, but i guess they're back to stay, and i love it!

7. Slouchy Boots
This fall, i've been seeing a lot of these what i'm gonna call 'slouchy boots" these things are awesome! i own quite a bit of these myself and i love them!

6. Blazers
This trend contributes to another trend i'm going to talk about later, but a blazer really is something that every woman should have as a staple in her wardrobe.

5. the Sweater Dress
\The sweater dress is one of those "carry-over" trends that have transcended from a few years ago, but still very chic and very cute.

4. Neutrals
neutrals, surprisingly have been coming back in full force and being used in more ways than one. For the more upscale, you can par beige dress pants with a khaki-colored blouse for a sensual 70's look

3. The Half-Formal Look- For those of you that don't know what i'm talking about, its that look where you pair a casual dress with a sharp blazer or some dressy pants with a tank top. I personally think this is going to be one of those trends that's going to last for a long time . Really fun.

2. Brights - The best way to add happiness to a gloomy fall day? bright skinny jeans and neons. this trend dosen't necissarily have to be restrained to clothes. Accesories for you and your home can be decked ut in bright colors!

1. Nostalgia Wear.- This trend, like the brights trend isn't necissarily being dconstrained to clothing. i saw a girl with a backpack the other day that had the old cereal box front from fruit loops. this again, is another trend i think will carry o into the spring/summer.
